WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY: YOU MAKE LIFE BETTER
This year’s theme for World Mental Health Day is workplace mental health, so we thought we’d share some tips to help prioritize mental health whether you are at work, play or at home.
#1. Eat well. A healthy diet can be a mood booster.
#2. Get outdoors. Even a 15-minute walk can help with your mental health!
#3. Prioritize sleep. Lack of sleep can impact your productivity at work and your physical health. Follow us here on LinkedIn for Healthy Sleep tips!
#4. Build relationships with your team members and leaders. Healthy relationships will facilitate communication and understanding, leading to a healthier workplace.
#5. Take action on any performance or work concerns. Request a meeting with your leader if you aren’t getting enough feedback or are unsure what winning looks like.
#6. Adopt relaxation practices, such as meditation, mindfulness, yoga, or breathing practices, to reduce and prevent stress.
#7. Seek professional help for stress-related symptoms like high blood pressure, migraines, or insomnia.
#8. Learn about the Mental Health support available at work or in your community.
At TDG, we’re proud to partner with The Johnson Group, Maxben, McFadden Benefits, Pension & Wellness, and EHN Canada, the country’s largest network of private treatment services for addiction, trauma, and mental health, as part of our TDG Cares benefit program.
