Yesterday, we hosted our first-ever #PlayItForward Day! #TeamTangerine and approximately 300 smiling faces from Lady Ballers Camp and Lay-Up set out for a jam-packed day of outdoor fun. From basketball drills on the court, STEM crafts, and surprise guests from our friends at Earth Rangers, it was a memorable day of community, learning and laughter. 🏀🐍 Community is part of our DNA. Through #TangerineProjectForward, we’re able to pay it forward and deliver programs that inspire self-confidence and leadership in Canadian youth. We believe in working with partners who provide the tools, resources and services to empower youth, so they can take positive action in their own lives and help build stronger communities. 🧡

This past weekend we kicked off the Raptors 905 Reading Challenge with our partners, the Raptors 905, First Book Canada and the University of Guelph Humber. ☀📙 🏀 The Raptors 905 Reading Challenge brings together 325 youth entering grade 5 from underserved communities spanning from Peel to Scarborough to North York to Niagara. These brilliant kids were gifted 5 books to read over the summer (totaling 905 minutes of reading) with weekly virtual author sessions for kids to ask questions. 📚 🙋♂️ 🙋♀️ The books selected focus on bringing diverse voices, stories, and experiences and will certainly keep this group of readers flipping pages this summer! 🧡 Tangerine is proud to be a partner of this amazing event for the 5th year in a row. Throughout the Challenge, the kids will also learn financial literacy tips to help make sure they are ready for their financial futures. Happy reading!
