📚 Reflections on our educational context (only 10 years ago)... Just a few days ago, I found myself in a deep conversation with my partner, who is currently teaching teens of first grade of engineering at a university here in Montevideo. We were discussing how dramatically education has evolved over the past two years, particularly with the globalization of AI. 🤖 It got us thinking: How would our own education have differed if we had access to these AI-driven tools when we were trying to solve those "complex derivations for logic arguments" or understanding why some "assembler code was right or wrong"? The idea is still mind-blowing to me. With AI now you can have personalized learning experiences, adaptive feedback, and even gamified learning environments that make education more engaging, I'd have never felt asleep studying for a test, or maybe yes, who know 🤷♂️. Imagine having had an AI tutor that could explain the reasoning behind a solution or guide us step-by-step through coding patterns, adapting to our pace and style of learning at school. To me that's super crazy. 🧠 Many thoughts come to my mind: • This is not a thing of the past, and we should all be making use of this tools in our day to day, today! • I'm learning and performing as hell (I hope so at least) • That this same kind of transformation probably happened to us without us even noticing when the internet became massively accesible. • That in the position we are, we are actually building this future through our contributions to the multiple platforms we help developing • That we have same amount of possibilities, no matter where we are.
