Last month at Starlight Investments, our employees had the exciting opportunity to participate in a beekeeping and honey extraction workshop, led by the experts at Alvéole – a Canadian urban and social beekeeping company focused on promoting more sustainable cities and fostering deeper connections with nature. As part of our partnership with Alvéole, we host several workshops for employees and community members throughout the year, highlighting the importance of pollinators in urban landscapes and their contributions to sustainable development. During the workshop, team members learned about the vital role bees play in our ecosystem, including their impact on food production and biodiversity – while actively participating in the fascinating process of honey extraction. The event was both educational and a great way to foster teamwork and connection among our employees. Last month, Starlight Investments was honoured to join the team at Habitat for Humanity Hamilton, along with local leaders and community members, for a wonderful Key Ceremony, as five families were welcomed to their new homes. As part of our ongoing partnership with Habitat for Humanity Canada, Starlight employees join with other volunteers to assist in the construction of affordable housing such as this newly completed project.
