We are deeply saddened by Grand Chief Kathy Merrick's sudden passing. Her leadership and dedication to advancing the rights and well-being of Indigenous communities in Manitoba were truly remarkable. Her legacy of advocacy, strength, and compassion will be remembered by all who knew her. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family, friends, and community during this difficult time.
