We like to think that’s also a nice description of what we’re doing with inca 😀. Our CEO Kathy Cheng will be speaking with Romani Patel from Microsoft. At inca | Nexxt Intelligence we're delighted to partner with Dynata to power their new QualiQuant AI solution with inca SmartProbe. Our inca | Nexxt Intelligence team were all smiles as we left another amazing Quirk's Media New York yesterday. A quick flashback of the 2.5 packed yet fun-filled days: Romani Patel and I shared how Microsoft has been using conversational AI for deeper human understanding at AI scale, the many use cases of using single-turn/multi-turn probing and digital projectives to bring consumers closer and add depth, colour and ultimately actionable insights to survey within the short past 6 months since Microsoft started to use inca. The presentation was very well-received and led to many insightful and delightful conversations throughout the rest of the conference. Thank you, Romani, for your partnership and trust in inca. We know there is a lot more to come in 2025 working with you to deepen the application of conversational AI in a wide range of surveys. We are truly excited! We are also very thankful for the multiple shout-outs at other client/partner presentations. We are excited to see the significant increasing adoption of conversational AI for market research for better participant experience and better insights. In between conversations with many clients/friends/partners and making new connections, we were able to attend a few sessions and pre-arranged meetings. The industry clearly has been moving very quickly towards more and more innovations while appreciating even more than ever before human insights/human-centricity. We also cherished the late-night team get-together before the conference (to celebrate Phil Sutcliffe's birthday!), despite all the delays. We all made it and enjoyed our precious time together. Looking back at how the two days unfolded, nothing could have worked out better. Now on to our next destination, ESOMAR Athens in September! I'm looking forward to Quirk's Media New York in just a couple of days! Phil Sutcliffe, Ellie Ma and I will be at Booth 207. We look forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. I am particularly excited about the methodology presentation with Romani Patel sharing how Microsoft has been using conversational AI to understand humans, with the richness and nuances that define us, at speed and scale. The presentation will showcase various use cases and how to use Conversational AI, such as  - Use single-turn probing to get more considered, specific, and elaborated responses pertinent to the research objective   - Use multiple probes to get a holistic understanding beyond top-of-mind recall with multi-dimensional analysis  - Use projective techniques to help enable research participants to access and articulate emotions We expect you will leave our presentation inspired by the new possibilities AI is bringing us for deep human understanding at scale and learning things to consider as you integrate conversational AI into research. I just provided my builds on this great article from Sarah Askew and Charlotte Moody which is well worth sharing more broadly with my network. Starting with my builds, then the original article below… Firstly, whilst the last year has brought both excitement and confusion from a flood of new AI tools in areas like #syntheticdata and #ConversationalAI, I'm hopeful that the next year will bring more focus on the differential effectiveness of tools in these areas. To be effective for insights, AI, whether it's being used for synthetic data generation, conversational AI or another application, needs extensive training to make it relevant and actionable for the market research context. I see a lot of technology providers jumping on the #mrx bandwagon without an understanding of the complexities of creating effective capabilities for enabling deeper human insight. Josh Seltzer alluded to this in his paper at #IIEX about #neurosymbolicai and inca | Nexxt Intelligence will be sharing more about what this means for the differential impact on AI probing capability with our client partners in the coming weeks. The second point to add is that a key reason I've been (and continue to be!) excited about the impact of AI for market research is that it ought to be a big enabler of freeing up researchers to focus on commercial impact and activation. This will need researchers to learn new skills for sure but it will mean insights can have a much bigger impact and provides the opportunity our industry has been banging on about for years about "taking a seat at the top table"
