On #WorldMentalHealthDay, we are reminded of the ongoing need to protect and advocate for the mental health of our students. With youth suicide rates rising by 57% between 2007 and 2018 (CDC), federal laws and state mandates now require suicide prevention hotlines on student ID cards as part of the effort to decrease this number. Could Digital Student ID Cards be part of this solution? We believe they can. Digital IDs are able to provide instant access to vital resources, without the risk of being lost or forgotten like physical IDs often are. Minga’s Digital IDs are accessible from any device, even without wifi. They offer more than safety; they provide students with reassurance that help is always just a tap away.
