McKenna Institute reposted this
This week we were thrilled to have Erin Barrett President & CEO of Eigen Innovations Inc. speak to students at the Barrett Entrepreneurship Speaker Series. Erin talked to a packed room of CS & Eng students about the long and fascinating Barrett Family entrepreneurial journey (potatoes, motorcycles, outdoor clothing, rural internet ... and many points in between!), and about Eigen's journey out of UNB to manufacturing floors across North America. 🚘 Her advice to students with tech-minded entrepreneurial dreams was "don't be technology looking for a problem. Find a problem that can be solved with tech." Thank you Erin for your insights and great stories, to the Barrett Family for continuing to invest in New Brunswick's entrepreneurial spirit, and the McKenna Institute for connecting the dots back to UNB for students benefit through Dr. Kenneth Kent the Barrett Chair in Entrepreneurship for Digital Transformation!
