(Market-based carbon pricing, ITC not yet law). - Across the Canadian provinces, regulatory frameworks continue to mature. (Non-fungible markets, provincial regulations) - In the USA there are challenges around consolidating pore space ownership, and inter-state CO2 pipeline construction (Execution blockers) - The incentive and revenue landscape for CCS is Complex in Canada, USA has a comparative advantage due to the simplicity and transparency of the crediting. (Stackability of multiple incentives and revenues) - New solvent technologies and integration strategies are driving CCS efficiencies, and membranes may be entering commerciality at scale for CCS applications.
