🌲 Lithuania - world’s second-largest exporter of prefabricated wooden houses.   Lithuania's status as the world’s second-largest exporter of wooden homes in 2023 highlights the country's significant role in the global prefabricated housing market. With exports valued at €164 million, this sector not only showcases Lithuania's manufacturing capabilities but also underscores its economic resilience.   Despite a challenging economic environment, particularly in key markets like Scandinavia, Lithuania’s wooden home manufacturers have managed to maintain a strong export presence. This achievement, alongside Estonia and Poland, which make up the top three exporters in this category, solidifies Lithuania’s strategic position in the European and global markets.

For the 12th year, Vilnius will host Startup Fair, Lithuania’s largest international startup event! 🌍 Commerzbank AG to open a representative office in Lithuania.   One of Germany's largest banks will open a representative office in Vilnius this December. It will serve as the hub for the Baltic States. Commerzbank will focus on trade and project finance in the region. Fostering strong collaboration with the public sector and local financial service providers.   Commerzbank's presence and expertise will undoubtedly enhance Lithuania's banking sector's competitiveness. Its Baltic Representative Office in Vilnius will be the latest step in its mission to accompany its clients wherever they do business.   🚀 Lithuania seeks to become the most favourable country for AI development. With the EU's new AI law, Lithuania will propose amendments to foster a supportive environment for AI technologies. Key initiatives include: - The Innovation agency will establish a pilot regulatory environment for AI. - The RRT | The Communications Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Lithuania will oversee AI market surveillance and act as a single point of contact.   To this end, there have already been significant developments: - Action Plan for AI Technologies 2023-2026. - €15 million call for AI, blockchain, and robotic process automation start-ups. - €110 million for digitalising public services with AI solutions. - €35 million for digital resources for the Lithuanian language.   #AI #Innovation #Lithuania #LithuaniaCoCreate
