🚨 Safety First! Emergency Response and Evacuation Drill Completed! 🚨 Last week our team completed an emergency response and evacuation drill, demonstrating our commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Safety is not just a priority; it's a necessity in industrial settings. Regular drills ensure that everyone knows the procedures, locations of emergency exits, and the use of safety equipment, which can make a critical difference during real emergencies. With our President, Peter McNabb, and our Health and Safety Administrator, Ani Dava, standing close by, our "willing" patient Randy was found unconscious in the heat and rescued by the shop personnel. Anytime it is not immediately apparent what caused the issue, a shop evacuation needs to be initiated to prevent possible further casualties. Having a pre-planned muster point is a must to ensure everyone has made it out safely.

🌟 Celebrating World Youth Skills Day! 🌟 Today, we proudly spotlight Bill MacGillivray, one of our exceptional student welders. 🔧🔥 Bill won 1st place in the Thunder Bay regional youth skills welding competitions for 2023 and 2024, as well as 7th and 8th place showings province-wide at the Ontario Skills Competitions for those years. Bill's dedication, precision, and passion for welding are truly inspiring. His journey showcases the power of skill development in shaping futures and building a better tomorrow. Let's applaud his hard work and the incredible potential of all young talent!

We had an incredible time hosting a seminar for the engineering industry, sponsored by PEO Lakehead Chapter and in collaboration with our esteemed supplier, SSAB. The event highlighted the unique and unmatched qualities of SSAB's Hardox and Strenx specialty steels. Our attendees had the opportunity to learn about the cutting-edge durability and performance these steels bring to high-abuse mining and mill applications. The insights shared by SSAB technical expert, Maurice Picard, were invaluable, and the networking opportunities were fantastic.
