Nova Scotia follows behind at 19.8%, while Prince Edward Island and the Territories trail close behind at 19.7% and 19.6% respectively. 📊 Stabilization in Major Cities: Toronto's rent has been relatively stable for over 1.5 years, while Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Montreal have remained relatively stable since January 2024. Calgary had the same price in July as it did in January ($1,800), Edmonton sits at a 0.07% increase ($1,499 to $1,500), Vancouver at a 2.4% increase ($2,500 to $2,560), and Montreal at a 3.13% increase ($1,600 to $1,650). 👨👨👦👦 Independence is Becoming a Premium: In the last year, studio apartments saw a price increase of 11.35%, rising from $1,145 to $1,275. The game was intense: 35-degree heat, a roaring crowd, and mounting pressure. Yet, it was the Spanish team's unwavering focus and resilience that stood out. Despite France's projected win, Spain stayed calm, stuck to their plan, and seized their opportunity at just the right moment....landing them the win 2:1! This got us thinking about how these qualities—patience, persistence, and strategic timing—are just as crucial in business as they are in sports. What an amazing 10+ years it has been partnering with pride & remembrance run Toronto 🏳️🌈 Last month, Kijiji took part in the 28th Annual Pride and Remembrance Run and despite the rain, the crowd sure was excited and off to the races! Our Kijiji volunteers were onsite to make the run as easy-peasy as possible with some branded swag and helpful gear like hats, bandanas, and fanny packs (a big fan favourite!) The sea of purple was amazing to see throughout the crowd. Cheers to all the participants, and thanks to Kijiji's very own Brenda Levitan for spearheading this event! ABOUT PRIDE & REMEMBRANCE RUN Founded in 1996 in Toronto, the 5km run and 3km walk is the largest, long running and most fun pride run in Canada. Earlier this year, we embarked on a rewarding paw-tnership with the Toronto Humane Society (THS) and discovered that our values align perfectly in connecting animals in need with loving homes. After exploring tons of different partnership options, we proudly became a formal sponsor of THS's monthly Community Day and Food Bank Program for 2024. This initiative ensures pet owners have the supplies and resources necessary to care for their beloved pets. As sponsors, we’ve contributed $25,000 in sponsorship cash and $50,000 worth of advertising space on the Kijiji platform to bring more awareness to THS! As part of our partnership, today we organized a Team Experience Day at THS. It was great to tour the facility, socialize with adorable animals - including dogs, cats, turtles, rabbits, guinea pigs, and rats - and even get a little hands-on time. Our team also helped bag and label cat food and set up supplies for the event. It was an unforgettable day filled with joy and a shared commitment to making a difference for animals and their owners. 🐶🐱❤️
