Juno is proud to announce that we have been selected by the Clinical Innovation Platform (CLIP) and the Fondation de l'Hôpital général de Montréal - Montreal General Hospital Foundation to join their Impact Investment program! The Impact Investment program, aims to support startups developing solutions that will benefit Québécois and Canadian patients. The selected startups receive an investment valued between $25,000 – $100,000. CLIP also aim to support startups in applications for government loans, may they require further funding. The program was created in partnership with CLIP and supported by National Bank of Canada, the John Dobson Foundation & the Birks Family Foundation. We are pleased to be amongst the four Canadian startups selected for the investment program and are looking forward to bringing our menstrual pain solutions to patients. Congratulations to the other startups as well: Breaking Bone Ora Medical Sonaro Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eDJUsD7j

“They don’t experience it, so they cannot understand it to the fullest either” Menstrual pain can be extremely alienating. May it be in friendships, in the academic world or in the work place, women experience many subtle setbacks due to pain. Often, there is a deep shame associated with even talking about it. Over the past few months, Juno has received many accolades, including recognition at Startupfest recently. While we love sharing our successes, it's also important to be transparent about the challenges we face. To put it simply, the road to many of our victories has not been easy. The black entrepreneurs prize was created three years ago in partnership with Rep Matters to give entrepreneurs like us a fighting chance: the opportunities for black entrepreneurs are few and far between. Sometimes just being heard is a battle itself. As shared by BDC; “less than 0.5% of venture capital dollars in North America goes towards Black entrepreneurs” The importance of this prize is undeniable, and we are delighted to be this year's winners. Receiving both the BEP prize and the audience choice award felt validating in many ways. While we know that there is a deep need for a product like ours, it has often felt difficult to prove its importance. Despite the modernity of our times, menstruation is still a taboo for many. It is a topic that many women will never broach in a professional space. Yet, in a room full of other startups, two women pitched a menstrual pain relief device. Our founders got a room full of experts and men to vote for a product they themselves might never use because, just like us, they see the promise of our product. We cannot express how elated we were to see that all the efforts and sacrifices were not in vain! Thanks to our founders' (Nanette Sene and Lynn Doughane) grit and passion, Juno is now in the final stages before launching our menstrual pain relief device on the market. We are grateful to all of you who continue to show us, prize after prize, that a world without menstrual pain is something worth fighting for. 💜 Join our waitlist below and be the first to know when we launch! 🚀 https://lnkd.in/eWmMf5_A

Your support means that we will bring our device for menstrual pain to the market even faster. 🚀 Thank you to Phil G.
