About us
OUR VISION ISAC aspires to aid in promoting, advancing, and developing Islamic schools inspired by current and developing research on Islamic education in Canada. OUR MISSION ISAC works in partnership with educators and organizations to foster the development, growth, and quality of God-Centered Islamic education starting primarily from an Islamic worldview. ISAC is committed to the education of Muslim children towards being model Canadian citizens who will contribute to the development and welfare of their country and the ummah. Islamic Schools in Canada have had similar struggles for decades. Each school was operating in isolation to its counterparts. ISAC is here to bring all these schools under one unified banner. We are here to support schools and provide high-quality resources and capacity building for school leaders to excel in building God-centered schools. ISAC was created to help and support the great work of Islamic schools across Canada!

“The name "Pakistan" was formed as an acronym of Muslim majority regions in India: Punjab, Afghani Province, Kashmir, Sindh and Baluchistan.” ― Firas Alkhateeb, Lost Islamic History: Reclaiming Muslim Civilisation from the Past This book is full of interesting facts that are lesser known today. It’s sad that it’s been lost, but we have to keep the spirit of Islamic History Month alive in our schools all year long. There are so many treasures in studying our rich history. We never know which student’s heart will be inspired by learning it and living it.

As we know in teaching, art is an engaging way to reach the hearts. Tatreez, Palestinian embroidery, is of the best ways to teach about the history and culture. This beautiful video is a must-watch for mid-high school classes. https://lnkd.in/e2gfm2_T

Quran study with children is a staple of Islamic History. Our students must be encouraged in their Quran study by learning that they are continuing a legacy of Muslim children through our history. “It should be known that instructing children in the Qur’an is a symbol of Islam. Muslims have, and practice, such instruction in all their cities, because it imbues hearts with a firm belief (in Islam) and its articles of faith, which are (derived) from the verses of the Qur’an and certain Prophetic traditions.” - historian Ibn Khaldun
