Hi everyone! We are excited to announce our first-ever event to honour November 18th, World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Violence as declared by the United Nations. This will be an education and awareness event intended for service providers, non-profit direct support workers, therapists, and students. You can expect a morning large-group workshop on how to respond to disclosures of childhood sexual abuse, and an afternoon of multiple workshops to pick from. Workshops will include both western and non-western modalities for healing where you can learn about their unique benefits. Save the date: November 18th 9AM - 4PM at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. More info and registration opportunities to come.

Thank you so much to the Youth in Philanthropy (YiP) Program at Maples Collegiate for selecting Heartwood as your donation recipient. YiP is a Winnipeg Foundation initiative. With this money, we were able to purchase furniture and other items to make our cultural room vision come to life. Now, Indigenous participants and staff have access to a much warmer and significant cultural space. @wpgfdn @maples_collegiate
