Preserving History While Building the Future We are proud to contribute to a unique project at The Forks Market in Winnipeg—a site steeped in history. The task: demolishing the concrete counterweight of a nearly 106-year-old bridge originally constructed for the railway and repurposed as a pedestrian bridge over the past four decades. The counterweight, standing approximately 75 feet high and spanning 30 by 50 feet, played a crucial role in lifting the bridge for boats to pass beneath. Completing this intricate work required extensive scaffolding and meticulous planning to ensure safety and precision.
