The federal gov't has a roadmap to safeguard Canada's food supply chain, but inaction on the 2022 National Supply Chain Task Force's recommendations leaves us vulnerable. It's time to prioritize resilience and protect both food security and global competitiveness. #SupplyChain https://lnkd.in/gbpERBp9

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we reflect on the tragic legacy of residential schools and their lasting impact on Indigenous communities across Canada. By wearing our orange shirts, we honour the children who never returned home and the survivors who continue to heal. Our commitment to reconciliation means fostering respect, learning, and action. This day reminds us that reconciliation is not a one-day conversation but an ongoing responsibility for all Canadians. Let’s stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities and work towards a future built on understanding and trust. 🧡 Explore ways to learn more and take action at nctr.ca #EveryChildMatters #OrangeShirtDay #Reconciliation #NDTR

Excited to share that I had the privilege of moderating a panel at The Canadian Institute's Food Law & Regulation Canada conference, focused on the critical theme of regulatory modernization in the plant-based food sector in Canada. As we navigate an increasingly competitive global landscape, it's clear that updating our business operating environment by modernizing the regulatory framework we work within, is essential to attract investment and foster growth and innovation. Our distinguished panel of experts – Dr. Alfred Aziz, Jay Holmes, Dr. Chris Marinangeli PhD, RD and Dara Jospe (she/her) (missing from our photo!) – discussed how streamlined regulations can not only incentivize new investments but also empower Canadian businesses to compete on the world stage. The insights shared underscored the importance of collaboration between government and industry to create a more agile and responsive regulatory environment. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this vital conversation. Together, we can pave the way for a thriving Canadian economy that champions innovation and sustainability. #RegulatoryModernization #Investment #Innovation #Canada #EconomicGrowth #PanelDiscussion #Leadership
