Sports x Soca 🤜🏼🤛🏼🔥🔥🔥 Tulsea Sports Marketing Ethnicity Matters
We made something pretty cool happen last Friday 🙌🏽 In between his four back-to-back sold out shows at the Apollo Theater in Harlem during Labor Day Parade weekend, Monk Music Group's own King Of Soca, Machel Montano, dropped by Yankee Stadium to link up New York Yankees Center Fielder, Jazz Chisholm Jr. (who was born in the Bahamas). In the video you can hear Jazz tell Machel that he still remembers watching him perform at Carnival in the Bahamas 8 years ago (a small testament to how long Machel has been on top of the game for) and Machel congratulating Jazz on all his success in Major League Baseball (MLB) (despite hailing from a small island that isn't necessarily known as a baseball hot spot). That's just the way we do it in the Caribbean, WE ARE ALL ONE, so when one shines we all shine ☀ and individually our countries may seem small on the global scale, but together we are mighty 💪🏽 Special shout out to Sreesha Vaman of Tulsea Sports Marketing and Bobby Sahni + Jason Harper of Ethnicity Matters for making the connection and Ryan Callahan of the Yankees for all the leg work on the ground to make this meeting happen 🤝 Also, shout out to anyone who was in attendance on August 25th at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens for the Rise Up NYC concert to watch Machel get the Entertainers Key To The City 🗝 from NYC Mayor ERIC ADAMS, anyone who attended the Caribbean Music Awards at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn on August 29th, all who attended one of Machel's historic Apollo shows in Harlem on August 30 - September 2nd, and the millions of people who came out to support the West Indian Day (Labor Day) Parade on September 2nd in Brooklyn. The culture is alive and well!!! 🔥 #Soca #Music #Caribbean #Culture #Sports #Baseball
