Elevate, in partnership with The Firehood, announce the winner of the Women+ Pitch Prize at Elevate Festival! Cynthia Ene, co-founder and CEO of Nunafab won the $100,000 cash investment selected by The Firehood Angels and received another $100,000 investment from Capital M Ventures, bringing the total amount to $200,000. The investment was awarded to Nunafab to grow and expand their business. Additional prizes were awarded to two Women+ program founder. A $25,000 investment was awarded to Tamara Lockwood-Ortiz from Infinite Harvest Technologies from Firehood Angels and Karine Bah Tahé (she/her) from Oasis Learning AI was awarded up to $500,000 in AWS credits courtesy of the AWS Canada Startup Team. Equivesto Canada Inc. supported the founders throughout the Women+ Program and will be completing the syndicates. The Women+ program is made possible by Mastercard and the Government of Canada. #ElevateTechCA #ElevateFest2024

🚀🍁 Our final day was full of heavy-hitting speakers and key points We kicked off our Moonshots, Lifestyle+, and Scale Up stages and really got down to business on investing, empowering those around us, and embracing tech for a better future. The Main Stage was filled with great insights from creatives, #athletes, #entrepreneurs, and more. We also loved seeing attendees make the most of our Roundtables, Masterclasses, and Braindate opportunities! We capped off another amazing Elevate Festival with some fun times at the Underground Closing Party by OneEleven. I have admired the work of the BlackNorth Initiative since inception. An absolute honor to share time and storytelling about the important work of this organization. On the second day of Elevate Festival, I had the opportunity to attend a masterclass focused on leveraging AI technologies to encourage creativity and improve the innovation process in project development. The tools introduced included AI software for generating both AI-created images and AI-generated text. We also explored a tool that simplifies editing long-form videos by converting the traditional horizontal format into the now commonly used 9:16 vertical format. This hands-on session allowed us to experiment with these AI tools in real time. My key takeaways from the session were: ▫️AI represents a human and machine partnership ▫️AI tools can greatly improve efficiency in your work processes ▫️AI supports idea generation by helping to clearly visualize and conceptualize the final product Elevate #ElevateFest2024 #HealthcareTech #DigitalTransformation #EmergingTech #ai
