In Part 3 of our #TeamSpotlight series, meet Lori Ogilvie, a Medical Lead here at CTC! Learn more about her below. 👇 💼What do you do at CTC? I collaborate with industry partners and key opinion leaders to create engaging and accurate medical education content, from CME programs to patient-facing videos. 🤝When did you join CTC, and what led you here? I first joined CTC in February 2022. I was drawn to medical communications first because I am passionate about knowledge translation and accessibility, and fell in love with the way that there is always a new therapeutic area to dive into. I was extremely close to signing a contract with another agency, but once I met the amazing team at CTC and heard more about the innovative work that happens here, I immediately knew there was no place I would rather be! 💻What project(s) are you currently working on that are exciting for you? I feel very strongly about the projects we have in the OUD and harm reduction space and am so excited to see the outcome of these initiatives. There are also a number of ongoing projects in the genitourinary oncology space that I am really excited about, it is such an evolving field so there is always a lot of action. ⚕️Why do you love working in medical communications? Working at a company like CTC provides you with the opportunity to work with such inspiring people. I have been fortunate enough to collaborate with incredible key-opinion leaders, dedicated and passionate patient groups, and of course the internal team at CTC. Everyone you meet in this role drives you to want to be not only better in your position, but to seek personal improvement. 🐕 What interests you outside of work? I have two dogs who keep me very busy outside of work. We have done scent detection classes and tried our hands at dock diving. Up next is sheep-herding lessons! I like to use any spare time that they leave me to work on a course I am taking on coral conservation. We only have one Earth, after all! #CTC #CreatetoCommunicate #MedicalCommunications #MedicalEducation #MedicalContent #ContinuingMedicalEducation #HealthCareCommunications #TorontoAgency #MedicalComms #pharmamarketing #medicalnews #medicalwriting

Today on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation the team at CTC is wearing orange to witness and honour the healing journey of the Survivors of residential schools and their families. Every child matters. 🧡 We are committed to continuing our education journey as we learn more about Canada’s Residential School System. We are also participating and serving our communities through actions that support reconciliation, including prioritizing Indigenous health and wellbeing through all of our medical communications work. As always, but especially today, we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit land. We recognize these peoples and their ancestors as peoples who inhabited these lands since time immemorial. #CTC #CreatetoCommunicate #MedicalCommunications #MedicalEducation #MedicalContent #ContinuingMedicalEducation #HealthCareCommunications #TorontoAgency #MedicalComms #pharmamarketing #medicalnews #medicalwriting #ndtr #truthandreconciliation #orangeshirtday
