What was the missing piece in traditional healthcare? 🧩 The voice of people with lived experience. People with lived experience are a crucial part of healthcare collaborations. Patients are experts in their own journey and their stories can help collaboratives develop a more empathetic and patient-centred approach. We don’t like the phrase “work-life balance.” Here’s why: We believe in being present where it matters, without needing the perfect balance. Instead of trying to perfectly divide our time, we focus on giving 110% wherever we are. The key to that is presence. Our joy and our purpose are a blend of both our professional and personal lives. We believe that creating space means leaving room for creativity and pause. Giving ourselves room to breathe and stepping away from the hustle and bustle of co-founder partnership gives us time to reflect, innovate and live meaningful lives. What do you think of “work-life balance?” #cofounders #partnership #medicalcommunications #entrepreneurship

This image from “Effective Data Storytelling: How to Drive Change with Data, Narrative and Visuals” by Brent Dykes demonstrates a great example of infographics that can be used to communicate disease prevalence. Patients want data that is timely, relevant to their diagnosis, and easy to digest. By developing resources that resonate with patients and are easily understood by the masses, healthcare providers and industry leaders lead toward more successful patient-provider relationships. They open the door to more effective communication and less time wasted reiterating procedures and diagnoses. In a world where digital information can often be misconstrued, leading to further confusion and unanswered questions, reputable organizations and industry leaders need to steer the ship by creating valuable, up-to-date, data-driven insights to share with patients consistently. At CONNECT, our goal is to provide knowledge distillation resources for industry professionals, healthcare providers and patients, to support improved disease management, optimal treatment and a better patient journey. #datastorytelling #healthcarecollaboration #dataliteracy

Patients are not looking for numbers or complicated research, they need a story. Effective data storytelling fills this gap that we saw in the healthcare system. We provide this through Bridge and CONNECT from our extensive experience working with the medical community, and on a personal level navigating the healthcare system for their family members, they quickly realized the disparity between ‘patient outcome’ often spoken about among healthcare professionals and the reality of the patient experience. To learn more about effective provider-patient interactions and how allowing the data to tell a story contributes to improvements in communication, visit our latest blog: https://lnkd.in/gsQcek4j #futureofhealthcare #collaborativehealthcare #storytellinginhealthcare #healthcaredata
