Meet Kerry. She works at a transfer station in our Solid Waste Management Services division. This division is responsible for collecting, transporting, processing, composting and disposing of garbage, recyclables, organics, yard waste, electronics and household hazardous waste. Kerry was drawn to her job because she loves customer service and loves that she gets to meet new people and build relationships with people who visit the transfer station on a more regular basis. She’s also very impressed by the growing number of women in the waste field. She sees opportunities opening up for women in this industry and she’s proud to be a part of it. Staff like Kerry work hard to manage waste from approximately 870,000 homes and non-residential establishments. Thank you, Kerry and thank you to all Solid Waste Management Services staff. Love, Toronto. 💙
