For the past couple days we have been attending the Specialty Food Association Winter Fancy Food Show checking out new projects, finding companies to do business with and getting inspiration. We are always excited when we find people or companies we know. This is certainly the case when we found Aliya's Foods Limited (Chef Bombay) booth. They have really good products, super fun packaging and beyond that they are an amazing family. So proud of you guys and all you are doing!!

🌏 cuisines now in the mainstream ❄️ section. ☝️ International flavours are 🔥 across the store! It's been far too long in coming. Nestle exiting frozen pizza and entrees in Canada opened a LOT of space, and it's resulted in what I expect will become the new norm in the next decade: global flavours integrated into the main aisle. Given the ever growing interest from the North American consumer and growing diasporas shopping at major banners, it makes sense to have it all together whether it's frozen entrees or sauces. Would also reduce the confusion of which aisle to go to! Not going to critique how it's done below as I'm pretty sure they are still transitioning based on what's in the adjacent freezers (these aren't). Still really like seeing Aliya's Foods Limited (Chef Bombay) next to The Kraft Heinz Company KD and Crave. Liking the mix of brands, cuisines and products as well, mostly independents and a couple major brands like Mondelēz International's 7Days. Snacks, sauces and pastas are all primed for this as well. In the meantime, use recipes and collaborations to take part in the trend and help consumers explore more flavours!
