🌟 Building Strong Relationships 🌟 My job is rooted in strong relationships driven through transparency and integrity in partner dealings. Honesty is the key to endearing partnerships and always staying true to your word. Case in point, I recently worked with a CPG client and their Agency of Record (AOR). Thankfully, my positive reputation formed through my years on the media vendor side helped pave the road with the AOR, allowing for a trusting environment and smooth relations. During a recent Canadian Marketing Association Café event Active International Canada hosted including Jennifer Lewis, Shane Cameron, Caroline Moul and Kieran Miles we discussed respect for media and client relationships. The discussion began with the importance of respecting the media industry and what it stands for. It was emphasized that the industry is fundamentally about relationships—both internally within organizations and externally with clients. Trust and ongoing nurturing of these relationships are essential for long-term success and should never be taken for granted... Easy to say and much harder to do. =============================================== This is one of a series of excerpts from our CMA Cafe event. Stay tuned for more and please share your thoughts. #Transparency #Integrity #MediaIndustry #Trust #Partnerships #achievemore

In this episode of CMA Connect, our CEO, Alison Simpson, and Justin Haberman, MBA, VP of Client Services, Elemental and member of the CMA's Brand Council, dissect the power of emotional connections in business. Check out the episode to discover: ✔️Why brand love matters ✔️How to quantify it ✔️The touchpoints for fostering lasting consumer relationships Justin emphasizes that measuring brand loyalty is more complex than most marketers believe. He uses the analogy of his barber, whom he visits due to convenience rather than loyalty. As a result, metrics like engagement or purchase can mislead marketers about a customer's true loyalty. CMA member, APTN, is the first national Indigenous broadcaster in the world. We recently hosted APTN's Executive Director of Marketing Communications, Carolin Taubensee, Chartered Marketer on CMA Connect. Carolin shares how APTN is preserving Indigenous languages, how marketers can reach these diverse communities, and ways to open doors for the Indigenous worldwide. “As individuals [and] as marketers, I think it's important to [learn] about the communities and be sensitive in terms of ceremony, spirituality. It's important to learn about the communities and not utilize something that could be quite sensitive, especially as it relates to culture and ceremony and spirituality.“ “For so long, Indigenous people were not even able to speak their language. But we've come to a place where finally there's the respect [for] those languages to be spoken. And it's really important [for] APTN [to provide] content that is in a variety of languages so that people can hear, get a sense of pride, and rebuild and reclaim those languages again." “I think the important thing is for marketers, as individuals, to take the time to learn and understand about different communities, including Indigenous peoples. There's a great [online] course that the University of Alberta offers for free, and it's called Indigenous Canada, and it's great [for] understanding the history and the perspectives of Indigenous people.” Listen for more insights on how marketers can support Indigenous communities: https://lnkd.in/g6ZxSnSc Learn more about APTN: https://www.aptn.ca/ #NationalDayofTruthandReconciliation #IndigenousCommunities #TruthandReconciliation
