About us

An independent, not-for-profit organization, the Canadian Cyber Threat Exchange (CCTX) is a private-sector initiative that supports the sharing and analytics of cyber threat information across sectors and with other sharing hubs, to help protect Canadian businesses, government and consumers, and strengthen Canada's economic prosperity. SHARED INFORMATION MAKES US STRONGER The CCTX’s mission is to share and analyze cyber threat information across sectors and with other sharing hubs to help protect Canada’s businesses, government, consumers and economic prosperity. Companies and government agencies leverage shared information and generate new analysis to make cyber attacks more difficult and costly—and to increase the likelihood that attackers will be apprehended. Cyber attackers are no longer limited to traditional entry points like employee mobile devices and laptops. They are now attacking companies through every entity that interacts with their business systems, including customers, the supply chain and providers of business services. Vulnerabilities are also being introduced as companies extend beyond their core businesses—for example, utilities and network companies selling through retail outlets or retailers offering financial services—using entirely new systems and processes. On its own, no sector, no business or organization is safe from cyber attack. The best way to counter attacks is by sharing information and resources as widely as possible. THAT’S WHY WE NEED YOU AND YOU NEED US. For more information, please contact us at [email protected] or 613-747-2283.

This is important legislation intended to enhance the cybersecurity of Canada's critical infrastructure and the supply chain that supports this infrastructure. If you'd like to know more about Bill C-26, send us a note at [email protected] and we will be happy to share a short white paper that we co-authored with Gowling WLG, TECHNATION and Compugen Inc. #cybersecurity #CriticalInfrastructure #BillC26

  • October is Cybersecurity Awareness month, and it’s a great time to continue to educate ourselves. Have a read of our article highlighting the work we’re doing to build capacity, increase collaboration, improve cyber resilience, and help Canadian businesses stay ahead of the hackers.   Staying ahead has never been more important as cyber attacks on Canadian businesses are on the rise and the tactics of cybercriminals are becoming more and more sophisticated.   How do we equip ourselves so we can minimize our risk of attack?   CCTX recently teamed up with Mediaplanet Canada and National Post to contribute to their Innovating Canada Cybersecurity Campaign.   While you’re at it, check out the rest of the campaign for other great information here: https://lnkd.in/gTD4P5XN #cybersecurity #cybersecurityawarenessmonth #CanadaCybersecurity
