From her first role at an electric utility provider to her recent senior consulting positions with large national organizations and the electric transmission council in Edmonton, she has seen the evolution of sustainable design practices across Western Canada. Tanya’s career is marked by her dedication to promoting sustainability through stakeholder engagement, workshops, speeches, and presentations. She has been instrumental in developing and implementing strategic plans and advocating for practical sustainable practices within Alberta. As the former Executive Director of the Alberta Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), Tanya spent 17 years engaged with the annual sustainable building symposium. Inspired by the connection between the natural world and the built environment, Tanya is passionate about creating energy-conscious and efficient buildings.
