As Canada transitions towards electrification, emissions reductions, and decarbonization, why does Bird continue to invest in oil and gas, chemical, and mineral processing? 🤔 In this clip from our recent Investor Day, Tannis Proulx, EVP of Industrial West & Major Projects, highlights the value in investing in this almost $70 billion annual market. From enhancing efficiency of oil and gas production, to the growing demand for critical minerals to make batteries and renewable technologies, there is a continued and growing demand from our clients to scale their operations in a sustainable and efficient manner. As a national construction and maintenance provider, Bird serves diverse markets including oil, gas (LNG), chemicals, mineral processing, clean power generation (nuclear and renewables), and environmentally driven sectors (water, wastewater, and RNG). With the capability to self-perform all major scopes from constructability through to construction and maintenance, Bird has the expertise to support a wide range of clients in both heavy and light industrial settings.

As a general contractor, we don't typically build bird houses – unless we're inspiring future builders to join our industry! 🏠 Our Vancouver team kicked off the year by visiting Castle Park Elementary, guiding 100 fourth and fifth graders through the bird house building process. A huge thank you to Padraig Byrne, Scott Power, David Howard, BSc.GSC, Terry Kovach, Goldis Mousavi, and Corey Davidson for making this day unforgettable for the kids! Special thanks to Milwaukee for their support on this project. 📖 Bird also gifted the school a customized free library, thanks to Padraig's countless hours of dedication.

"When you have a team that comes with different skills, different approaches, and different experiences from you, your role is to set the direction and learn how you can support, champion, and remove barriers for them... and then get out of the way." Our Chief People Officer, Brian C. Henry, had the privilege of sharing leadership advice at The Whiteboard Collective's recent Career Palooza. Speaking to over 100 community members, Brian emphasized the power of diverse teams. Hear more 👇▶️
