The Alzheimer Society Research Program (ASRP) empowers leading dementia researchers to turn their ideas into impactful discoveries. In 2022, Dr. Ghazaleh Eskandari-Sedighi from Dr. Matthew Macauley’s group at the University of Alberta received our postdoctoral award for her work on a project that focused on elucidating the role of human CD33 protein in Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis. These grants provide researchers with funding to develop materials that build on their existing research and help broaden the audience for their findings beyond academia. *** Les demandes sont maintenant ouvertes pour le Programme de subvention d’accélération de l’application et du transfert des connaissances (ATC). En partenariat avec la Fondation Brain Canada, la Société Alzheimer du Canada accordera des subventions totalisant 200 000 $ afin d'accélérer le partage des résultats de la recherche sur la maladie d'Alzheimer et les maladies neurocognitives. This milestone can generate hope for continued advancements. Health Canada is currently reviewing Leqembi (lecanemab) and Kinsula (donanemab).
