Today, we commemorate the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We honour the resilience of Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island and reflect on the legacy of residential schools. As an Indigenous organization, we know the impact of this legacy is still felt every day and we encourage meaningful action around truth and reconciliation. Together with our community of professionals we act towards a future of healing, justice and reconciliation. Every step forward begins with truth. If you require emotional support during this time, the Indian Residential School Survivor’s Society has a national crisis line at 1-866-925-4419 #EveryChildMatters #OrangeShirtDay #TruthandReconciliation #NDTR #AFOACanada
