    i know you probably didn’t mean it this way but like. if you don’t want characterization of the reader in a fic then stop reading them. because otherwise the “reader” character will be bland and add nothing of value to the writing. i really don’t want to be mean but i’ve seen too many of these posts talking about how they can’t get into a fic because it doesn’t “describe them” instead of using their imagination and immersing themselves in the story.
