In the years following the Second World War, Sydney Allard designed a series of aluminum-bodied cars around surplus American V8 engines with the assistance of none other than Zora Arkus-Duntov. 1956 Allard Palm Beach Mk II Roadster 5-Speed

This 1956 Allard Palm Beach is the first among just six Mk II roadsters built before the Allard Motor Company’s dissolution in 1958 and was presented as a prototype at the 1956 Earls Court Motor Show. Following the show, the car served as a demonstrator before passing through a series of owners and eventually being placed in storage in 1976.
