Over two days, the Mirscience team—represented by William Silva, Milena Pelegrino, PhD and Lucas Ariel, PhD Ariel—participated in the largest Deep Tech event in Latin America: The Deep Tech Summit by EMERGE Brasil. These were two days filled with intense networking, insightful sessions, and numerous opportunities for partnerships, investment and co-development. A monumental day for microRNA enthusiasts! I’m thrilled to share that Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun have been awarded the Nobel Prize for their groundbreaking discoveries on the role of miRNAs, made in 1992. Their work not only opened up an entirely new field in science but also enhanced our understanding of vital biological processes, and later, how these molecules could become therapeutic targets. At Mirscience Tx, we are proud to have a platform dedicated to developing therapies based on non-coding RNAs, particularly miRNAs. Our mission is to bring this Nobel-recognized science into the clinic and, eventually, to patients, transforming the lives of millions. We are thrilled to announce our latest publication in collaboration with Professor Gustavo Duque: "MicroRNAs and their Modulatory Effect on the Hallmarks of Osteosarcopenia." In this paper, we discuss the potential of microRNAs as therapeutic targets for osteosarcopenia. It is well-established that miRNAs play a crucial role in the activation or inhibition of specific genes, making them key players in therapeutic strategies.
