    Brazil's cross-border online sales are expected to grow by nearly 30% annually through 2027, significantly outpacing the projected 20% growth for local purchases. In this scenario, leveraging local payments becomes crucial for success in XB sales. Leandro Clembo do Carmo, EBANX Director of Brazil, shared some interesting data on payment localization in an event hosted by Nubank. For example, by combining cards with local alternative payment methods, such as Pix or wallets, EBANX expands the consumer reach by 4x for our merchants _ meaning an addressable market of 156 million people. #payments #ebanx #brazil #ecommerce

    Cross-border digital commerce in Brazil is expected to grow by nearly 30% a year by 2027, much above the projected growth for local purchases of 20%. This trend is very much in line with the change in the Brazilian online consumer's profile in recent years: more connected, mobile-first and a regular user of digital payments. Needless to say, payments are the bridge between this contingent of consumers and global brands that want to expand their reach in Brazil. The big point here is how to make this connection happen, and the answer is: local payments (even more so in a country that has already created installments and Pix). I was talking about this today, at an event hosted by Nubank to discuss the potential for the growth of Wallets, such as NuPay, in this scenario, and the best way to address these opportunities – through payment partners like EBANX.
