Norway has been in the news quite a bit recently for various E&P investments/Projects, something is clearly different compared to the UK Sector. The usual players including Vår Energi and Equinor both have multiple projects ongoing or firmly in place moving into 2025. Vår Energi has a green light for the forever sweet spot up north in the Barents Sea from Norwegian authorities which looks like involving the COSL Prospector but could involve one of the other COSL regional units. The Barents Sea has been an interesting play for decades and comes with the usual seasonal restrictions and being a highly charged area in the political scene with environmental concerns not helping. One things for sure with the current geopolitical situation and the sure thing that the Barents Sea has still to show all she holds, it’s a firm bet that the area given all the strife to get there and operate, it’s still has its magnetic pull for the oil majors. Time to get those thermal special coveralls out and hop on the Hammerfest Express. Interesting Fact 👉🏼 Hammerfest claims to be the worlds most Northern city with +/- 8000 inhabitants, however Honningsvåg nearby disputes this claim, Norwegian law and municipality rules have not settled the dispute, we will keep you informed if the situation changes, meanwhile Drilling ops should remain unchanged… #oilandgas #drilling #innovation #management #engineering

Transocean announces a batch of new deals for various units worldwide worth a staggering $9.2 Billion. The deals part of the latest fleet status report showing both Drillships and Semi-subs circumventing the globe with new contracts and extensions in Norway, Australia,Mexico, Lebanon (this could be interesting) and East Mediterranean Sea. Transocean appear to be constantly leading the way with solid financials reporting excellent backlogs sinse 2022 and without doubts appear to have come out of the hell hole of 2014 robustly. Lots to digest in the latest report as we dig deeper we will be looking at the usual suspects of mega deals involving their cutting edge ships, the future is certainly looking positive and will hopefully stay that way. 20,000 FOLLOWERS - THANK YOU SO MUCH, ITS BEEN FUN. To all of you folks who have taken the time to get us to this milestone your support and engagement is greatly appreciated. 0-5000 - Was unbelievably hard and took years. 5-10,000 - Flew by it was unbelievably different from 0 10-15,000 - Even Quicker 15-20,000 - Was extremely tough. All the way through we have managed to keep one metric at the top and that was our engagement rate, the most important one, we never mentioned reaching 15,000 but 20,000 we know the work that goes into reaching this number while maintaining a high level of engagement. Ex Diamond Offshore and now Noble Corporation Ultra Deep Water drillship Ocean BlackRhino has arrived in Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, where the rig will undergo its SPS with major upgrade installing its MPD system. Just completing its short campaign for Apus Energy DMCC off Guinea Bissau late last month the 80 day expected rig stay in the Canary Islands will prepare her well for Beacon Offshore Energy in the GOM kicking off expected early 2025 This is great news for both Diamond Offshore and Noble Corporation as they continue with this amazing fusion of drilling super powers, the future gotta be bright for all concerned. Following the initial delivery of the Atlantic Zonda vessel from Samsung Heavy Industries and the execution of contractual upgrades at Seatrium in Singapore, the vessel has successfully completed sea trials in the South China Sea.
