ST will be everywhere at IoT World 2018 in Santa Clara May 14-17. At this event, the largest IoT-targeted event in North America, ST will showcase its unique role among semiconductor manufacturers with its broad portfolio and ecosystem to address all IoT verticals. At IoT World 2018, the Company will be letting everyone know that it has All the Building Blocks for the IoT and has a jam-packed schedule of demos, presentations, and activities to make that point.
To start the event, a “lighting talk” describing how Semiconductors Accelerate IoT Growth will be delivered by ST’s VP of IoT Strategy, Ecosystem and Partnerships Tony Keirouz, on Tuesday, May 15th, during the Keynote Sessions.
Throughout the show, you’ll find ST participating in expert presentations and panel discussions on topics including “Voice control for smart homes,” “Fault prediction for Industrial IoT,” “IoT connectivity options,” “Mesh Networking for smart buildings,” and more.
ST will also host one of their popular Hands-On Workshops. For IoT World 2018, the training will walk through “How to connect to AWS IoT Core using Amazon FreeRTOS for Embedded Devices” using the STM32 L4 Discovery Kit IoT Node. Be sure to get there early as seating is first come, first seated until space and boards run out.
ST also invites attendees to visit its booth, which the Company will have filled with 20 demos, an interactive touch table, and the unique, informative, and fun ST Block Challenge.
What is The Block Challenge? The buzz is already building for this activity, aimed at helping visitors discover all ST’s Building Blocks for the IoT. The object of the challenge is to collect all 13 colorful Lego-like blocks to complete a puzzle, with each block representing an essential technology, product, or service ST offers for the IoT. By following the color-coding throughout the booth (#504) visitors can collect their blocks and experience demonstrations of ST technologies for each of these vital functions. And when visitors have assembled all 13 blocks to complete the puzzle, they will earn a “Master IoT Builder” badge — and a chance to win great prizes including an Oculus Rift, Fitbit Versa, Apple Watch, Lego Mindstorm EV3, Google Home, Amazon Echo and more. #IoTBlockChallenge
