The new deal keeps him under contract through the 2026-27 season. Curry still had two years left on a four-year deal worth $215.4 million that he previously signed with the organization in 2021.
The Warriors are currently projected to own the fourth-most cap space in the NBA during the 2026-27 season and will be roughly $60.7 million below the first apron following the extension, per Spotrac.
Curry was only eligible to receive a one-year deal from Golden State due to the NBA's over-38 rule, as he'll be 39 years old at the end of his new extension (h/t ESPN's Bobby Marks).
The 10-time All-Star has repeatedly discussed his desire to retire as a member of the organization, telling Andscape's Marc J. Spears in July that he still believes that it can be done.
"It's tough, right? I've always said I want to be a Warrior for life," he said. "At this stage in my career, I feel like that's possible."
Although Golden State's 2023-24 season came to a disappointing end due to a loss to the Sacramento Kings in the play-in tournament, Curry still wrapped up another incredible individual year. He averaged 26.4 points and 5.1 assists per game while shooting 45.0 percent from the field and 40.8 percent from three in 74 starts.
Curry's also coming off a dominant finish to the United States' gold medal run in the 2024 Paris Olympics. In his final two appearances, he averaged 30 points per game and connected on 17 of his 26 attempts from behind the arc.

He'll be returning to a new-look Warriors team next season, as Klay Thompson joined the Dallas Mavericks in a sign-and-trade at the start of free agency. Golden State also added Kyle Anderson, De'Anthony Melton and Buddy Hield to replace Thompson's production and shore up the team's perimeter defense.
As Curry prepares to help the Warriors attempt to get back to the playoffs, he solidified his future with the organization even further on Thursday.
