Our Mission
Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
Why We Exist
At Communities In Schools of Benton-Franklin, we believe every student regardless of race, gender, zip code, or socio-economic background deserves the opportunity to write their own success story.
What We Do
Working directly inside 28 schools throughout Richland, Pasco, Kennewick, Finley and Prosser School Districts; we learn first-hand about the personal challenges and structural barriers standing between our students and their goals.
How We Do It
Our school-based staff work IN schools every day to ensure students have access to basic needs such as food, stable housing, and technology; while also facilitating social-emotional learning, increasing access to mental and physical healthcare, and supporting college and career readiness. By bringing communities of support to our students, we’re fostering equitable learning conditions for all.
Making a Difference
At Communities In Schools of Benton-Franklin, our 1841 students receiving individualized support show outstanding progress towards their personal goals.
