We are thrilled to welcome one more brilliant colleague in our team at #YVHP - say hi to Axel Balog de Manko Bück! 🎉 Axel is an EU Policy Advisor with a solid background in European legislation and public affairs. He has worked extensively on drafting amendments and negotiating a number of health legislations, including the Pharma Package, the EHDS or the European Parliament's first ever report on Mental Health. He is committed to a strong European life sciences and innovation driven ecosystem and looks forward to joining YVHP to help amplify youth perspectives on health challenges. With Axel now on board, along with Danai, Solène, and Dorin, we are confident that our team is complete and ready to take YVHP to the next level! 🚀

We are super excited to welcome two new team members to YVHP! Please meet Danai Spentzou and Solène Jouan, two very familiar faces in Brussels' health scene and former speakers at our events. 👋 Joining forces with YVHP's founder, Dorin Birsan, they’ll be driving our mission to connect and empower young professionals in health policy. Some exciting events are already being planned 🔜 Danai is a dedicated human rights lawyer with extensive experience in EU health policy, including the EHDS, SoHO, General Pharmaceutical Legislation. Her work on mental health and rare diseases has fueled her passion for creating impactful change. She's a strong believer that every voice counts and she's thrilled to join YVHP to connect and amplify youth perspectives on health challenges. Solène is a European law specialist, working in EURORDIS-Rare Diseases Europe, contributing to European and international policy development, to ensure that the voice of people living with rare diseases is always heard in the decision-making process. She joined YVHP to ensure that health remains a priority on the EU policy agenda, share her expertise with young professionals in Brussels, and connect with them on this important topic. We are very excited to have them on board to take YVHP to the next level. Welcome, Danai and Solène! 🚀

Celebrating 1 Year of YVHP! 🎉 Today marks a major milestone for the Young Voices in Health Policy (YVHP) community as we celebrate our 1-year anniversary! 🥳 Exactly one year ago, on 6 July 2023, we embarked on this incredible journey with our launch event at APCO European Public Affairs. Little did we know that YVHP would resonate so profoundly with young professionals passionate about health policy in Brussels. Over the past year, we've welcomed you to 4 events, attracting a total of 417 registrations! While we regret that not everyone could register and attend due to space limitations, please know that we are committed to improving this at our future events. This journey would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and commitment of us young professionals, eager to connect with each other. Whether at our networking events or panel discussions, your passion for health policy and collaboration has been the most important factor our growth and success. To our inspiring speakers and moderators: Carlo Martuscelli, Solène Jouan, Valentin Plouchard, Danai Spentzou, Filip Kavran, Vasco Mendes, Marcin Rodzinka-Verhelle, Emma Cracknell, and Dafni Kachrila Skouteli - thank you for sharing your fresh and valuable perspectives on health policy.
