On 10th September, NTNU Brussels participated in the European University Association's event: "Unleashing the Full Potential of the European Innovation Ecosystem" at the Hungarian Permanent Representation in Brussels. We were pleased to see our Pro-Rector for Innovation and Chair of EUA Expert Group on Innovation, Toril Nagelhus Hernes, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) speak. She highlighted that "#universities need more capacity and competence to unleash the innovation potential from all the research performed. Collaboration between academia and public and private sectors is important for knowledge transfer and innovation." ✅ We need #Capacity: capacity building through excellence in research. ✅ We need #Competence: Increasing competence and skills through education and innovation skills. ✅ We need #Collaboration: Support collaboration across borders and organisations, especially between universities and industry/public sector. This event outlined ideas and approaches to orchestrate impactful #innovation ecosystems for a competitive Europe, by showcasing existing achievements at the institutional level and inspiring examples of effective multi-stakeholder mobilisation.

This morning, the Oslo Region European Office invited our Brussels office to share existing Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU) cooperation projects with cities and municipalities under #HorizonEurope. The synergy between cities and universities in different European projects shapes the initiatives to find solutions to climate, urban and social challenges. The European Commission will still be supporting new opportunities in Horizon Europe through the New European Bauhaus. We really appreciated our discussion with the Telemark fylkeskommune and thank our hosts Gunnar Selvik, Randi Johanne Hoseth for the kind invitation to speak. #CraFt #YoungInnovationCamp #EUprojects #EuropeanBauhaus
