We’re approaching the end of an inspiring journey at the IWA YWP BeNeLux 2024 conference. Day two began with engaging parallel sessions, each featuring different keynote speakers: 🔧 Process Control and Optimization with Kimberly Solon 💡 Innovative Technologies with Michel Caluwé 🌊 Advanced Processes for (Waste)water Treatment with Pieter Naert 🔬 Water Quality Analysis and Monitoring with Émile Sylvestre, Ph.D., Eng. 🔍 Membrane Technology and Filtration Processes with Marjolein Vanoppen ♻️ Water Reuse and Recycling with Sam Van Nevel After a stimulating lunch break, the afternoon session continued with insightful poster presentations. We are thrilled to announce key note speaker Emilie Courtens for IWA YWP BeNeLux 2024! Dr. ir. Emilie Courtens, Tender Manager at EKOPAK Sustainable Water, embarked on her journey a decade ago as a Young Water Professional (YWP) with a PhD in thermophilic nitrogen removal in industrial wastewater. She transitioned into the industry, taking on a technical sales role at Global Water & Energy (GWE) and later at Ekopak. Ekopak specializes in recycling and revaluing water, providing industrial customers with sustainable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions to significantly reduce their water consumption from the mains network. Ekopak focuses on optimizing water use through containerized treatment units that convert off-grid sources like rainwater, surface water, and wastewater into purer water for industrial processes. As Tender Manager, Emilie collaborates closely with industrial clients, understanding their needs and offering innovative solutions utilizing the latest advancements in the field.
