🌍 The ISN celebrates Guatemala's Kidney Health Initiative. The International Society of Nephrology fully supports Ministerio de Salud de Guatemala's initiative to submit a kidney health resolution to the World Health Organization (WHO). We are deeply grateful to Joaquin Barnoya, Guatemalan Ministry of Health, for his dedication to addressing the global burden of kidney disease and for their thoughtful letter highlighting our shared mission. This resolution aligns with the ISN's mission to advance kidney health worldwide, emphasizing prevention, timely diagnosis, equitable access to care, and reducing health disparities. We stand ready to collaborate and amplify Guatemala’s efforts, mobilizing our global network to ensure widespread advocacy and coordinated action. As key discussions at the WHO Executive Board and the World Health Assembly are taking place in 2025, we urge the global nephrology community, including our regional societies, partners, and local Ministries of Health, to join us in advocating this critical resolution.
