About us
Volkswagen’s in-house battery factory PowerCo and circular materials technology company Umicore unite their know-how in IONWAY. As a dedicated battery materials producer, it’s our mission to make e-mobility affordable and accessible to all. Together, we make the energy transition happen. Bringing sustainable e-mobility to every doorstep, that’s what drives us all at IONWAY. As PowerCo and Umicore join forces in this new and dynamic enterprise, it’s safe to say we are taking pole position in the large-scale production of cathode and precursor materials. We are ready to accelerate the energy transition. WE TAKE ACTION We feel the sense of urgency. Strengthened by Umicore’s track record and PowerCo’s magnitude, we eagerly get to work with a fresh approach to efficient EV battery production. Today, together, we answer the challenge. WE TAKE THE LEAD We see both obstacles and opportunities. Although we are a start-up, we are far from new to this fast-evolving business. We unite the expertise, resources and technology to move ahead and make sustainability a success. WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY We know the situation is serious.
