A new project for G-TEC in the Netherlands We are excited to announce that G-TEC has been awarded a contract by RVO (Netherlands Enterprise Agency) to perform a seabed survey for the Doordewind Offshore Wind Farm project in the North Sea. The survey of Lot 1 will cover an area of about 310 km2 and will include geophysical seabed investigations. The objective is to provide RVO with high-quality data on the seabed and sub-seabed conditions. RVO will share these data with wind farm developers to de-risk the wind farm development in a very early phase. The survey operations have started early July and will last into the summer months. We will use our own survey vessel, the Mainport Geo, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and experienced crew. We are looking forward to working with RVO on this important project, which will contribute to the energy transition and the sustainable development of the Netherlands. We are proud to showcase our expertise and experience in offshore wind farm surveys and to support our clients with innovative and cost-effective solutions.

It's always a pleasure to welcome enthusiastic and collaborative clients on board of the Mainport Geo, as last Monday for the kick-off meeting for the Doordewind project, a project that G-TEC is proud to be involved in.
Afgelopen maandag bracht ons AFRY-expertteam een bezoek aan de 'Mainport Geo' in #Zeebrugge. Het schip zal worden ingezet voor een deel van het geofysisch onderzoek van #Doordewind voor Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO), dat eind april van start is gegaan. De Mainport Geo zal de zogenaamde “seabed scope” voor zijn rekening nemen (multibeam echo sounder, sidescan, sub-bottom profiling en magnetometry). Ook Fugro en PGS zijn op dit moment al actief in het Doordewind gebied met respectievelijk de 2D UHRS en 3D UHRS scopes. De dag begon met een inspirerende kick-off vergadering aan boord, waarbij er kennisgemaakt werd met de bemanning en het offshore projectteam. Jeroen Godtschalk (Geofysisch Expert bij AFRY): “Het was fascinerend om de diverse schepen, equipment, werkprocessen en procedures van verschillende bedrijven en geofysische toepassingen te kunnen verkennen. We zijn er klaar voor om dit project tot een succes te maken!”
