It's official - yesterday a Memorandum of understanding with key actors from the space ecosystem to cooperate through a #SpacePartnership has been signed 🖊️🌌 It will pave a new way of collaborating in the field of research and innovation. From academia to large industry, it will bridge between all key actors of the value chain. #Sentinel2C is up in space after a successful launch - massive congratulations to everyone involved!! 🎉 🙌 🚀 This new addition to the Sentinel 🛰 family will ensure continuity of key #CLMS products for the years to come – allowing our users to continue their operational services and develop innovative new applications. It also allows CLMS to continue its crucial contribution to EU environmental #policies, fundamental to ensuring a healthy and sustainable future for us all. CLMS project lead Usue Donezar Hoyos was present at the launch, to represent the land user community who helped shape this mission. A new Copernicus Satellite is now in 🌌, after a successful launch onboard a Vega rocket operated by Arianespace on September 5 at 03:50 am CET or September 4, 22:50 pm local time. The satellite sent its first signal down to Earth at 05:02 CET, indicating that it was successfully placed into orbit. 🌍❄️ Today is the opening of #European Polar Science Week, and both #CLMS and Copernicus #InSitu will be there! ❄️🌍 The 2nd #EuropeanPolarScienceWeek is taking place in #Copenhagen, bringing together the European polar science community and strengthening cooperation across the continent. Throughout the week, scientists and other stakeholders will share crucial knowledge and discussions. Don't miss today's key session at 4:30 PM, about the newly released Polar Roadmap for #Copernicus. Our In Situ expert José Miguel Rubio Iglesias will serve as one of the chairs and present the Copernicus In-situ Component, while colleague Andrus Meiner will represent #CLMS and highlight its importance for #PolarMonitoring. José will also moderate a subsequent panel discussion on the gaps and challenges associated with In-situ activities in Polar areas.
