It aims at: - Intensifying the cooperation between its Members, aimed at further coordination and integration of their space related research activities. - Improving and intensifying the cooperation of the Association and its Members with third parties in the space domain; in particular in Europe and with European industry. - Contributing to the global competitiveness of the European space sector. - Positioning ESRE and its members as one voice offering harmonized views to European industry, governments and institutions in the field of space and innovative research.

    ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab, a member of ESRE, has signed a €27.3 million contract with European Space Agency - ESA to develop and qualify MicroSTAR accelerometers for the Next Generation Gravity Mission (NGGM). These accelerometers will help track changes in Earth's gravity field, providing valuable data for monitoring water resources and the effects of climate change. #ESRE #ONERA #ESA #NGGM #MicroSTAR #accelerometers #climatechange

    🛰 Les accéléromètres de l’ONERA vont équiper la Next Generation Gravity Mission de l’European Space Agency - ESA. L’ESA et l’ONERA ont signé un contrat d’un montant de 27,3 M€ pour la réalisation de la mission NGGM (Next Generation Gravity Mission), pour laquelle le centre français de recherches aérospatiales va développer et qualifier l’accéléromètre MicroSTAR à l’horizon 2027, afin de livrer 7 modèles de vol en 2028. Les états membres de l’ESA viennent de confirmer ce choix avec une configuration de mission ambitieuse. Ce choix est une nouvelle reconnaissance mondiale de l’expertise ONERA dans le domaine de l’accélérométrie ultra-sensible. Ainsi, la NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration a aussi choisi d’équiper sa future mission GRACE-C des accéléromètres les plus sensibles de l’ONERA dans la continuité des missions GRACE et GRACE-FO. La mission NGGM de l’ESA vise à cartographier précisément le champ de gravité de la Terre et de ses évolutions mensuelles. L’enjeu est de poser une première pierre à un programme de surveillance continue des évolutions du champ de gravité terrestre, afin de suivre l’évolution des masses d’eau (y compris sous-terraines) comme la fonte des glaces, le transfert des bassins hydrologiques et la surveillance des nappes phréatiques critique pour l’agriculture. Právě odtud budou v budoucnu řízeny družice VZLÚ i družice dalších subjektů.     What is the Digitalisation for Commercial Space Solutions Partnership? 🚀 The Digitalisation for Commercial Space Solutions Partnership is a vital initiative within the European Union's Horizon Europe framework. This Partnership brings together public and private partners to jointly support the development of cutting-edge research and innovation (R&I) programs in the space sector. By pooling resources and focusing efforts on key domains, the Partnership contributes to Europe’s global competitiveness and strengthens its position in the rapidly evolving space market. Why Is the Partnership Important? The Partnership contributes significantly to the EU's political priorities, such as the Green Deal, Europe’s digital strategy, and pandemic preparedness. Through its technological, scientific, and societal objectives, the Partnership aims to: •  Accelerate innovation by fostering collaboration and attracting private investments. •   Foster competitiveness by focusing R&I efforts on key domains like telecommunications and Earth observation. •   Strengthen Europe’s capacity to access space by developing new space transportation solutions. What are the Key Work Packages of the Partnership? The Partnership is organised through six Work Packages, each designed to deliver specific outcomes and drive innovation in European space technologies: Contribution to the R&I Space Strategy and Work Programme: •  Delivers the strategic and programmatic inputs to implement the Partnership's technology roadmap in the Horizon Europe Work Programme Updates of the SRIA: •  Provides updates to the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA), supporting the evolution of the European Union's Space R&I strategy Partnership Projects Monitoring: •  Ensures proper monitoring of R&I projects funded through the Partnership, collecting lessons learned, and identifying future targets Partnership Administration and Reporting: •  Manages and reports on Partnership activities, including additional efforts to promote the roadmap to institutional stakeholders SPACE AISBL Setup and Operations: •  Establishes and manages SPACE AISBL, the leading entity that unifies five representative associations from the space sector. Since our founding by five associations - ASD-Eurospace, SME4SPACE, Association of European Space Research Establishments (ESRE), EASTRO, and EASN - European Aeronautics Science Network we have been dedicated to creating a unified voice for the upstream space community. Our mission took a significant step forward with the establishment of the “Digitalisation for Commercial Space Solutions” Partnership, which began its activities in June 2023. What is this Partnership about? The Partnership aims to enhance competitiveness in three key areas: 1. Commercial Earth Observation Solutions 2. Commercial Telecommunications Solutions 3.
