The 20th edition of #CIODAY “Tomorrow is Today" is coming on November 19!   Just like in the previous years Amrop the Netherlands will be sponsoring #CIODAY, the largest annual Dutch network event for digital decision-makers in business, government, and everything in between, gathering 400+ CIOs.   In a world where technology is rapidly evolving to create breakthroughs, and where both challenges and threats have increased, yesterday’s lessons shape today’s innovations and tomorrow’s possibilities.   #CIODAY is the annual network event for digital decision-makers in business, government, and everything in between. Redefining Business Processes via AI In an upcoming study by Amrop’s Global Digital Practice, we will explore differing approaches to leadership, and the ability to derive competitive advantage, with respect to the application of AI. In preparation, we have been speaking with leaders of midsized companies, venture-backed businesses and larger corporations who have all shared their experiences in leveraging AI strategies for their organization and customers. Among our interviewees is Geert-Jan van der Snoek, CEO at Sdu and Board Member at Lefebvre Sarrut SA, which is the European leader in legal and tax knowledge and a pioneer in generative AI for legal, tax and audit professionals. The Amrop Digital Practice latest quarterly online event explored the theme “Large-scale ERP implementation: Cloud plus internal infrastructure and risk-mitigation”. We spoke with Pawel Biel, the CIO and VP of the Management Board at Amica Group, a global manufacturer of household appliances (MDA/SDA) headquartered in western-central Poland with 9 subsidiaries across Europe. The session was facilitated by Job Voorhoeve, leader of Amrop's Global Digital Practice and Ewa Baranek, Partner at Amrop Polska. A dialogue was created around the key learnings Biel had acquired in the process of signing an agreement with SAP for rights, converting to a S/4HANA license, and balancing SAP and other solutions to mitigate the risks and lower the costs. He debunked myths and shared tips and tricks with the attendees that he and his team had arrived at via trial and error while preparing for multi-million € software implementations in order to remain as independent and cost-efficient as possible.
