AmCham EU congratulates President-elect Donald Trump and Vice-President-elect JD Vance on the results of the 2024 US presidential election. American companies in Europe are committed to continue strengthening transatlantic cooperation with the new US Administration and to play a bridge-building role across the Atlantic. The new Administration should seek to advance the economic relationship between the EU and the US. Aggregate US investment in Europe totalled more than €3.7 trillion in 2022 and directly supports more than 4.9 million jobs. A strong transatlantic partnership, based on shared values and interests, is critical to jobs, growth and security on both sides of the Atlantic. We look to President-elect Trump to work closely with European partners on issues that are critical to American companies in Europe. The EU and the US should continue to display strong transatlantic unity on the global stage.
