Had an excellent experience collaborating with Symbolic Software towards the first security and functional correctness evaluation of dWallet Labs's implementation of their revolutionary 2PC-MPC protocol. By mapping the 2PC-MPC research paper to its implementation, we found and patched a critical `nonce-reuse' vulnerability, among others. We invite you to read the whole report here: https://lnkd.in/eFC5_NTQ. Thank you Nadim Kobeissi for this fun and educational collaboration, looking forward to working together again in the future.
We're thrilled to release our latest public audit report: a functional correctness and security assessment of dWallet Labs's 2PC-MPC Rust implementation. 2PC-MPC is a novel threshold ECDSA protocol that allows where the second party is fully emulated by a network of n parties. This allows for abstracting away the internal structure of the network for the second party, rearranging principals as needed. Symbolic Software, in close collaboration with 3MI Labs, conducted: 1) A functional correctness assessment, tying the paper to the specification. Our assessment provides higher assurance for code correlation to spec and acts as groundwork for future engineering. 2) A security assessment which identified a small number of security vulnerabilities, including a critical nonce reuse vulnerability in the protocol's presigning step. Findings were shared with dWalletLabs and addressed prior to publication. Our report also included a comprehensive development roadmap regarding future engineering work, helping provide guidance on how the complex 2PC-MPC codebase can evolve in the future while addressing key challenges in cryptography engineering. Symbolic Software would like to thank and Tomer Ashur and Erik Takke from 3MI Labs, and Yehonathan Cohen Scaly and Dolev Mutzari of dWallet Labs for their valuable contributions and feedback. There is wayyy more to come! Proud of our collaboration with Irreducible (formerly Ulvetanna) and looking forward to what this brings in the future! Follow us and stay in the loop 🚀
Ready to reduce? 😎 It's been a huge week for us here at Irreducible (formerly Ulvetanna)! New name, new research published, and Cointelegraph picking up Vitalik Buterin's Twitter deep dive on our work! 🚀 👉 Vitalik Buterin breaks down ‘Binius,' our zk proof system, as a way to speed up zero-knowledge proofs. Cointelegraph article: https://t.ly/7pdvO 👉 In collaboration with 3MI Labs, we introduce a arithmetization-oriented hash function designed for Binius. Vision Mark-32: A ZK-Friendly Hash Function Over Binary Tower Fields. More here: https://t.ly/S5Eny 👉 Announcing the first end-to-end, FPGA-accelerated Polygon Labs zkEVM prover, delivering a 40% speedup over a top-of-the-line GCP instance. More here: https://t.ly/MTRLG and last, but not least... 👉 We've rebranded from Ulvetanna to Irreducible, but our mission remains the same: Accelerate the zero-knowledge revolution with the world's fastest proof generation! 👊 More about our rebrand here: https://t.ly/recSc We believe fast and cheap verifiable and zero-knowledge computing will bring truth and privacy to the Internet, and we are more excited than ever to work with the ZK industry to realize this vision. 🚀 #FPGA #RTL #Xilinx #Ethereum #zkp

Had a lot of fun participating in the panel for Research Leaders in Web3 yesterday at Encrypt London! Our chief scientist Tomer also explained how our research in Algebraic Ciphers has been instrumental in improving usability and efficiency of established products in this space. What an excellent conference with top ZK, FHE, and MPC researchers talking about how they’re applying their expertise to revolutionise the #web3 landscape and make it more scalable and private! Special thanks to our partner dWallet Labs for organising this and inviting all of us at 3MI Labs to participate 🚀🚀
