𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭𝟲 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟴 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱-𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 Every day, 50 to 60 patients are treated, with around 55% of them being women. We are providing vital healthcare services, focusing on emergency treatment for waterborne diseases like diarrhoea and skin infections, as well as specialized care for pregnant women, adolescent girls, and elderly women. In the coming days, we’ll be reaching 16 locations in just 8 days, covering two locations per day. Our goal is to provide healthcare to over 40,000 local residents in Comilla and Feni. To address this urgent need, our team has mobilized a mobile water treatment plant capable of producing up to 500 liters of clean water every hour. 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲: 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽'𝘀 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 Friendship NGO, with support of the in house staff, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Bangladesh, UK Aid Direct and Medicine, has launched critical flood relief interventions in Feni and Comilla. We're coordinating with government stakeholders to ensure effective coverage, aiming to reach 20,000 to 30,000 people across 3-4 unions. Our four medical teams are on the ground, providing emergency healthcare, with special attention to women, pregnant mothers, and the elderly.
