Watch the 2015 Avoice Issue Forum panel on keeping the faith in education! Panelists looked at the monumental passage of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA). Rep. Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. was the chair of the Education and Labor Committee at the times and was instrumental in its passage. Using materials curated on the Avoice web site, the panel discussed the role of Rep. Powell and CBC members in the passage of this landmark legislation and also look at the recent CBC educational priorities.
